DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Retort type chamber furnaces of the series RH… RVe/g can be used for various purposes such as tempering and stress relieving of tools,, which previously have been treated in vacuum hardening furnaces as well as for many other annealing processes. Recristallization annealing, spheroidize annealing, ageing nitriding w/ subsequent oxidizing nitrocarburizing. Amongst the last one are in particular counting gas nitriding, nitrocarburizing in connection with corrosion protecting posterior treatment (oxidating).

Our retort furnaces are available in various design variants. You have the choice of electrically heated and gas-heated versions. The furnace consists of the furnace housing with state-of-the-art low temperature storing insulation and the horizontally placed retort with atmosphere circulation aggregate.

Optionally integrated (indirect) cooling systems of various intensities provide a flexible range of cooling rates that offer energy efficient and economically viable operation and at the same time optimized performance as required by the process.

In order to enable a fast establishment of operating conditions (process atmosphere), the process area (inside the retort) can be evacuated at the beginning of the heat treatment cycle as well as in between (for change of process atmosphere). The presence of such an evacuation system will allow the fast establishment or change of atmosphere at low quantities of atmosphere respectively low operating costs.

The standard vacuum pump installation includes a roots pump with integrated vacuum measuring & monitoring instruments.

The electrical control is equipped with a free programmable process control allowing a very flexible set-up of process parameters and process sequences. The choice of these appliances allows a very flexible process design.

The IVANIT process gassing device is used for nitriding, nitrocarburizing and posterior oxidating.

On this basis, we also offer multi-chamber versions. Our Multi-Chamber Tempering Furnaces are being used for tempering small badges. The process results are equal to the tempering furnaces of our range of production. The chambers are operated separately from each other. The vacuum pump as well as cooling system is simple in design.
