High-Performance Furnace Systems for Nearly all Heat Treatment Processes
IVA Industrieöfen GmbH was founded in 1984. Since the beginning of 1991, IVA has carried out production operations in its own group of buildings located in the Dortmund-Wickede Industrial Park.
With a production range that encompasses nearly the entire scope of industrial furnace systems for every imaginable thermal treatment process, IVA has succeeded in continuously expanding its market position in recent years.
Today, the company represents one of the few remaining manufacturers in this market still capable of offering an in-house developed and fabricated range of industrial furnaces that covers nearly all the possible uses and fields of application.
The Range of Systems Comprises the Following Types of Furnaes
- Retort furnaces
- Large capacity shaft furnaces
- Shaft furnaces with air circulation
- Multi-purpose chamber furnaces
- Retort type multi-purpose furnaces
- Vacuum chamber furnaces
- Vacuum shaft furnaces
- Oscillating table furnaces
- Conveyor belt continuous furnaces
- Drum-type furnaces
- Rotary table furnaces
IVA Furnaces are Developed for the Following Thermal Treatment Processes:
- Nitrocarburizing and nitriding
- Case hardening
- Tempering / hardening under inert gas
- Carburizing / Carbonitriding
- Hardening
- Annealing / bright annealing
- Brazing
- Oxidizing / blackening

Great Flexibility
The customers of IVA include both prominent corporations and medium-sized toll hardening shops. The rate of export is around twenty percent.
The special strength of IVA is a flexibility that allows it to match the size and performance class of the systems it produces to the individual needs and requirements of its customers. In an industrial setting, custom problem solutions precisely matched to the treated products and production sequences in a company are particularly in demand.
Extensive Advice
IVA can already offer customer support, if desired, at the planning stage. At this point, the objective is generally to determine the appropriate method of thermal treatment and the matching furnace model for a specific product to achieve definite properties at specific batch sizes and established rates of throughput. Furthermore, IVA offers support in selecting the hardware and software needed to ensure peak productivity and economy, for example to achieve automated production operations, efficient process control and exact process documentation.
Aside from designing and fabricating furnace systems, IVA is actively engaged in development of new hardware/software systems and in process optimization.
Service and maintenance of external systems, as well as expansion and refitting of existing older systems for modern, more economical technologies round off the IVA range of offerings.
